1st Place CANIRAC Winner

1st Place Winner of the
National Award for Best Regional Cuisine

On May 26, 2003, Yaxche Maya Cuisine Restaurant received from the National Chamber of Restaurants (National CANIRAC) a significant award for the best restaurant in Mexico specializing in regional cuisine.

The award was given to Yaxche Maya Cuisine Restaurant "for its belief in satisfying its guests with service and quality; for strategically planning its company in an intelligent way to emphasize its talent, ability and business creativity; for facing the increasing process of globalization given by the high competition in the national restaurant business."

The prize was given by the National President of Canirac, Rafael de Jesús Saaveda Alvarez; the president of the jury, Francisco Mijares Noriega, Modelo Group General Manager (Corona beer, etc.); the President of the Mexican Chamber of Congress Beatriz Paredes, the former Miss Universe Lupita Jones.
